There’s little Sheamus hasn’t accomplished during his time in WWE. He’s a multi-time WWE Champion, a former King of the Ring, and he’s won both Money in the Bank and the Royal Rumble. He’s also found himself part of an incredibly successful tag team, winning the Raw Tag Team Championships a total of four times alongside Cesaro, now known as Claudio Castagnoli in AEW.
In recent months, Sheamus’ career has seen somewhat of a resurgence as he’s aligned himself with Ridge Holland and Butch on WWE SmackDown to form the Brawling Brutes. At Clash at the Castle, the Irish native went one on one with GUNTHER over the Intercontinental Championship, a prize Sheamus has yet to win. While he was unsuccessful at unseating the Austrian behemoth, he received a tremendous ovation from the crowd in Cardiff, Wales for his efforts, and the feud between the Brawling Brutes and Imperium continued into Extreme Rules.
Diamond Dallas Page believes Sheamus is worthy of induction into the WWE Hall of Fame
Speaking on his DDP Snake Pit podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page spoke about the highly praised Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match between Imperium and the Brawling Brutes at Extreme Rules and said that he believes Sheamus is absolutely worthy of induction into the WWE Hall of Fame one day.
“He’s absolutely a Hall of Famer without question. Dusty Rhodes, who I talk about all the time, told me about him before I’d ever seen him on TV. And he came in with a hell of a push going in. And he could be back in the World Championship race, like that. At any point in time they could pop him in, again for all the reasons that make a wrestler a top guy, look size, rap believability.
“I think he’s reinventing himself again and just upping everything because he’s in phenomenal condition. I work here at my Performance Centre. He came in and we did some DDP Yoga together. And what he does was doing his stuff, his little video that he has a show that he does every week about he exercises with everybody all over the world.
“But I think he’s had a hell of a run. I think there’s a times where you have to work your way down the card to work your way back up the card. It’s just the way it’s the way the business goes. And I think especially now the reaction that he’s getting is been phenomenal.”
