Diamond Dallas Page And Jake “The Snake” Roberts To Launch Podcast

Diamond Dallas Page & Jake

Diamond Dallas Page is set to join forces with Jake “The Snake” Roberts once more to launch a brand new podcast called DDP Snake Pit.

The new collaboration will see the the two WWE Hall of Famers join with ‘The Podfather’ Conrad Thompson for the new project which will premiere on January 4th.

Page and Roberts first crossed paths during their time in ring, but arguably their most famous collaboration came with DDP helping Roberts in his battle with addiction. It was a story followed in frighteningly honest detail in the acclaimed documentary “The Resurrection of Jake the Snake.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Page said that the only way he would agree to do a podcast was if he and Jake could have Thompson at the helm.

“Me and Jake have so many years together and memories and stories, and we think people are going to get a lot out of this,” Page says. “Now, initially, I didn’t want to do a podcast. There are just so many out there. Then Jake said to me, ‘I know you won’t do one. But do one with me.’ I said I’d do it on one condition, and that’s if we got Conrad Thompson. He’s built something special, and I really respect him for it. So since Connie’s in, we’re going to do it.”

Diamond Dallas Page, who hinted that the podcast was on the way during a recent appearance on Broken Skull Sessions, said that fans can expect “something really special.”

“People are going to be entertained and get new pieces of knowledge every episode,” Page says. “You’ll get insight on how we really think. We’re going to look at a different side of wrestling, and something really special is going to happen when we’re together on the show.”

In a press release heralding the arrival of the podcast, Conrad Thompson said that he was excited to have the opportunity to work on the project.

“I’m really excited to have the chance to work on this project. Obviously, Dallas and Jake are two of the most unique personalities in an industry filled with characters. But I’m really looking forward to talking to these gentlemen about their approach to life outside of wrestling. This is going to be a different format and approach to podcasting than I’m used to, but I’m confident that listeners are going to tune in weekly for it, and really get something positive out of it.”

Speaking in a recent interview, Diamond Dallas Page showered up and coming AEW star Hook with praise calling the second generation star, the “young Marlon Brando of wrestling.”

Jake “The Snake” Roberts is currently signed to AEW where he appears as a manager for Lance Archer. The Murderhawk Monster has been out of action since November with a neck injury sustained in a match with Eddie Kingston.
