Dexter Lumis Returns To NXT

Lumis Thumb

Dexter Lumis returned to NXT following injury on last night’s edition of NXT.

Though Lumis wasn’t featured in in-ring action, he appeared backstage with Cameron Grimes who attempted to find William Regal to gripe about the beating he recieved from NXT UK’s own, Ridge Holland.

Dexter Lumis, who just snarled and stared down Grimes, has not been seen on NXT television since July 29th when he defeated Timothy Thatcher and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat Match to qualify for the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver XXX.

During the previously mentioned Triple Threat Match, Lumis injured his ankle on a dive to the outside which was heavily editied on television to play down the severity. The dive in question can be seen below.

WWE described the injury as an ‘osteochondral lesion of the talus’ and the grievance caused him to be withdrawn from the Ladder Match.

While WWE played down the injury while they assessed Lumis, on August 4th it was said that his ankle was considered to be worse than originally thought.

Though it is unclear at this time exactly what the plan is for Dexter Lumis now he has been cleared to compete, it would seem that the planed Lumis vs. Cameron Grimes feud will finally go ahead.
