WWE’s plans for the recent QR code campaign have been revealed.
For over a month now, WWE TV has often been interrupted by screen glitches and QR codes sending fans to cryptic videos in a campaign that is reminiscent of the return of Bray Wyatt back in 2022.
Many fans believe that the campaign is leading to a return for Wyatt’s brother, Bo Dallas, who portrayed Uncle Howdy during the late star’s final ruin in the company. In a video linked to on the May 3rd edition of SmackDown, WWE made its most explicit reference to Bo Dallas yet when the phrase “we believed” appeared on screen with glitches changing it to “we bolieved.” This was a clear link to Dallas’ original gimmick in the company where he used the phrase to rile up the audience.
The latest tease came during WWE Backlash in France, when a code appeared and led to wwe.com/porte_ouverte. Porte Ouverte means “Open Door” in French and the site contained two audio clips with one claiming “the time of secrets has come to an end” while the other mentioned forming a family and they “can’t wait to show you what we’ve become.”
Bo Dallas To Head Bray Wyatt-Related Faction In WWE
Now, PWInsider has revealed where the QR codes are leading, saying that there will be a new group that will “play off the Bray Wyatt intellectual property.” The report goes on to say the following stars will be part of the new faction.
- Bo Dallas
- Nikki Cross
- Dexter Lumis
- Joe Gacey
- Erick Rowan
It was reported that Erick Rowan signed a new deal with WWE earlier in May. Before being released from the company in 2020, the star was an original member of The Wyatt Family alongside Bray Wyatt and the late Brodie Lee.
