Deonna Purrazzo has finally signed a long-term contract with IMPACT Wrestling after competing almost exclusively for the company since her return in May.
The signing was announced by Josh Matthews on Wednesday during the IMPACT Press Pass call to promote Bound For Glory. Specifics of the deal were not disclosed apart from the contract being ‘long-term’, which is unsurprising considering Purrazzo is currently the IMPACT Knockouts Champion.
‘The Virtuoso’ responded to the news on Twitter shortly after it was unveiled:
“I’ve been waiting to be able to talk about this publicly!!! I’m happy to confirm and so excited about what the future holds @IMPACTWRESTLING ❤️”
Deonna Purrazzo was released from WWE in April in a swathe of cuts made due to the COVID-19 pandemic and returned to IMPACT Wrestling a month later. She quickly ascended to the top of the Knockouts division, defeating Jordynne Grace at Slammiversary in July to become Knockouts Champion for the very first time.
She has since retained her title twice against Grace and Susie with her set to defend the championship for a third time at Bound For Glory this Saturday against Kylie Rae.
