After making a surprise appearance at AAA’s Rey de Reyes, Deonna Purrazzo is now on a collision course with AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Faby Apache.
At Rey de Reyes, Faby Apache defeated Chik Tormenta, Lady Shani, Flammer, Maravilla, and Sexy Star to claim the vacant Reina de Reinas Championship. The title had been declared vacant following Taya Valkyrie’s move to NXT.
Deonna Purrazzo had already made a surprise appearance at the event, working on commentary for the women’s clash. However, The Virtuosa wasn’t quite done there, and challenged Faby Apache to the title vs. title showdown at TripleMania XXIX. The Mexican champion accepted the challenge before Purrazzo attempted to put a beatdown on her rival.

Former WWE Superstar Andrade also made a pre-taped appearance at the show throwing out a challenge to Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania.
Should the match take place it is unlikely to be Andrade’s first match since his WWE departure, however. The 31-year-old will headline Federación Wrestling’s inaugural pay-per-view on June 19th in an 8-man tag team match. There, he will face PJ Black, Matt Taven, and two mystery opponents alongside Ring of Honor World Champion RUSH, Bestia del Ring, and a mystery partner of their own.
Meanwhile, Deonna Purrazzo was most recently in action at IMPACT Rebellion where she retained her Knockouts Title with a win against Tenille Dashwood.
The Virtuosa has held the title since defeating Su Yung at IMPACT Turning Point in November 2020.
