Deonna Purrazzo has regained the IMPACT Knockouts Championship for a second time after defeating Su Yung at IMPACT Turning Point 2020.
The two faced off in a brutal No Disqualification match that involved kendo sticks, baking trays and (strangest of all) a painting canvas! It all came down to skill in the end though, as Purrazzo managed to counter Yung’s Mandible Claw into the Cosa Nostra cradle piledriver to begin her second reign as IMPACT Knockouts Champion.
Deonna celebrated on Twitter shortly after regaining the title:
Give me time to formulate a plan, I can adapt to anything. No DQ was the perfect way to become THE NEW & 2x Knockouts Champion…
Deonna Purrazzo originally lost the championship last month at Bound For Glory when Su Yung replaced Kylie Rae and picked up a shock win. Yung defended the title once during her short-lived reign when Purrazzo got herself disqualified on the November 3rd episode of IMPACT, subsequently leading to this No Disqualification encounter at Turning Point.
This marks Deonna’s second championship win since being released from WWE in April. A month later, she debuted in IMPACT Wrestling and quickly ascended to the top of the Knockouts division, defeating Jordynne Grace at Slammiversary to become Knockouts Champion for the first time.
Elsewhere on Turning Point, The Good Brothers defeated The North to win the IMPACT Tag Team Championship and the participants of the upcoming Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament were announced!
