Current Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo has named her best friend in WWE, as well giving her thoughts on women’s wrestling in general.

On Impact Wrestling bringing back the Knockouts Tag Team Championships, Purrazzo, speaking to Love Wrestling, said:

“I think with the creation of the Women’s Tag Team Championships – and then Impact has so many Tag Team Championships right now. I think bringing those titles back would be an amazing opportunity for us. There’s so many of us that have alliances and have partnerships with other people that it makes sense. If there was ever a time to do it, and there was ever a time to grow a tag division, now would be the time. There’s so many women that can be brought in to just aid to any roster right now. I think capitalizing on that would be super cool for Impact, especially, but for any company.”

Impact recently put together an 8-team tournament that culminates at their Hard to Kill event where Havok and Nevaeh face Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz. Deonna Purrazzo took part in the first round with her partner Kimber Lee, where they were defeated by Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary.

Purrazzo returned to Impact Wrestling, where she made sporadic appearances from 2014-2017, in 2020. In July at Slammiversary, Purazzo won the Knockouts Championship by defeating Jordynne Grace.

Purrazzo previously competed in NXT where she was part of the VXT faction. Here she teamed with Rachael Evers and Chelsea Green. When asked who she would describe as her BFF in wrestling Purrazzo enthusiastically gave her vote to Green.

“Oh, Chelsea G might be! Chelsea (Green) is my best friend.”

‘The Virtuosa’ defends her Knockouts Championship at Hard to Kill against former longest-reigning Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie.
