Deonna Purrazzo Names Her Two Dream Opponents

Deonna Purrazzo

Ahead of IMPACT Wrestling’s Rebellion PPV on Sunday the 25th of April, IMPACT Knockout’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo took to social media to answer questions on a range of topics including dream opponents, toughest opponents and her thoughts on the future of IMPACT’s Knockouts division.

On Sunday the 25th of April IMPACT Wrestling will present its third edition of the Rebellion PPV, featuring a stacked card main evented by AEW’s Kenny Omega taking on Rich Swann for both the IMPACT and AEW World Championships.

Elsewhere on the card, Deonna Purrazzo will defend her prestigious IMPACT Knockout’s Championship against Tenille Dashwood accompanied by Kaleb with a K.

Since her return to IMPACT Wrestling in 2020 following her WWE release, Purrazzo has taken on a mountain of incredible Women’s talent including the likes of Jazz, Jordynne Grace, ODB, Taya Valkyrie and Su Yung.

However, Purrazzo has now revealed on social media two names that she considers her dream opponents featuring a WWE Hall of Famer and another legendary Canadian WWE Superstar.

Responding to the question, ‘The Virtuosa’ Deonna Purrazzo would name WWE Legend Trish Stratus alongside Hart family legend Natalya as two opponents she has always wanted to face off against.

Natalya would take to social media to respond to the IMPACT stars compliment stating “Would love that!!!!!” in reply to Purrazzo’s original response.

Both Deonna and Natalya wrestled for the WWE between 2015 and 2020, however with Natalya only appearing for NXT three times following the end of her two year run with the brand the stars never aligned on this potential dream match.

Trish Stratus has appeared in-ring five times for the WWE since 2012 however Stratus has recently stated that if the right opportunity occurred for her to return to wrestling she would be open to it.

Speaking on the Women’s Wrestling Talk Podcast, Stratus commented:

“If there is a chance for something that will brew in a certain way, then I’m open to it. I’ve always said since I have retired, if there was an opportunity for me to go back it would be for something that’s challenging, stimulating, the fans want it. Something that’s exciting and it does something for both parties involved.”

Recently fellow IMPACT Wrestling Champion Ace Austin commented on Purrazzo’s return to IMPACT Wrestling and a potential “beef” between the two Superstars.

Speaking with ITRWrestling’s own Liam Alexander-Stewart, Austin commented:

Absolutely. I mean, I didn’t even I, I mean, I definitely stay focused on my own lane, so like, I didn’t really like think of that comparison. But you saying it it’s totally there. I can see it matters it for sure. I got a little, I guess, beef, to be honest with you. I got I got some beef with Purrazzo okay. She I don’t think she should have won wrestler of the year over me. So we’re going to have to fight about it.

IMPACT’s Rebellion PPV airs live Sunday, April 25th and is available in the UK via FITE including through Virgin Media for the very first time! ITRWrestling will have full coverage of the results from IMPACT Rebellion including the outcome of Deonna Purrazzo’s title defence against Tenille Dashwood.
