Deleted Tweet Hints At Sami Zayn’s WrestleMania 39 Plans

Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber

The only thing bigger than WrestleMania is the speculation that surrounds it, especially when it comes to Sami Zayn.

In recent weeks the former Intercontinental Champion has become arguably the most popular performer in all of professional wrestling. However, he appears set to miss out on featuring in the main event of WrestleMania 39, a spot reserved for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

With Zayn not in World Title contention, this has created a great deal of speculation about what he will be doing at the spectacular. Even though Kevin Owens rejected his recent attempts at reconciliation, it has been reported that the pair will team up at WrestleMania to take on The Usos.

Interestingly, a now-deleted tweet from the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto may have confirmed that this will be the case.

WWE is set to make a stop at the venue for their “Road to WrestleMania” tour on March 4th, with a number of top stars advertised for the show. As part of this advertising, the venue tweeted that Zayn would be teaming up with Owens to take on Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. This is despite the pair being at odds on television.

This coupled with the post being deleted led many fans to believe that the pair will be getting back together in time to compete at WrestleMania.

WWE “Very Concerned” About Sami Zayn’s Impact On WrestleMania

On the February 20th episode of Raw, Cody Rhodes came to the ring to cut a promo but was immediately interrupted by Paul Heyman. It has been reported in the days after the show that WWE made sure to have Rhodes’ interrupted as quickly as possible in an effort to stop fans chanting for Zayn during the segment. WWE was said to be “very concerned” about fans calling for Zayn and turning their back on the American Nightmare.
