A new report suggests that SmackDown will see a debuting star, a week after they were originally set to make their first appearance on the blue brand.
The WWE Superstar formerly known as Reckoning during her time in RETRIBUTION hasn’t been seen on television since the group disbanded at Fastlane.
It was recently reported that Yim was due to move to SmackDown, although at the time, there were no details available about a potential debut. However, it has now reportedly come to light that Yim was to debut on the Throwback Edition of the show and begin a new feud.
According to Fightful Select, Yim’s debut on the 7th of May edition of SmackDown was pulled due to time constraints. While her appearance would have also led to a feud with Carmella.
With that debut not taking place, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer says that Mia Yim is now set to make her first appearance on SmackDown on the 14th of May.

Mia Yim initially joined WWE in 2014, working as an enhancement talent on NXT, while also appearing as one of Adam Rose’s ‘Rose Buds.’ Yim later went on to sign for IMPACT Wrestling where she enjoyed a great deal of success working under the ring name Jade. During her time in IMPACT, Yim won the Knockouts Championship and feuded with the likes of Gail Kim and Rosemary.
Yim returned to WWE in 2017, competing in the Mae Young Classic, before also competing in the same tournament a year later. Following her 2018 performance, Yim was signed by the company on a full-time basis.
Mia Yim’s last match in WWE took place in December of 2020 on WWE Main Event. Still known as Reckoning at the time as part of RETRIBUTION, Yim traded victories with Scottish star Nikki Cross.
