Booker T wants to “do something” with this former NXT Champion.
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently returned to in-ring action at ROW Street Justice Rules Gauntlet facing his former mentee, Zilla Fatu. Defeating Fatu, the former World Champion now wants to face former NXT Champ, Trick Williams.
Williams has always expressed his desire to face the NXT commentator. While the veteran was also interested in the bout, it never came to fruition. Now back to in-ring action, the former King of the Ring shared his plans to ‘do something’ with Williams.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T opened up on the possibility of being in a match against Trick Williams.
“I’d love to do something with Trick Williams. I think that would be something really, really cool in 2025 if I could muster up the old gas to actually be able to go out there and get something done. The thing is, my right knee’s been killing me. If I can get my right knee to work for me, 2025 could be that year for me to get something done with Trick Williams. I know he wants to do it. He’s been texting me, he’s been goading me, trying to get me into a match. So nah, man, to be able to get in there with that kid would be special. It really would.”

Despite his intentions, there are no confirmed plans for Booker T’s WWE in-ring return. Williams is a former NXT Champion, who lost his title against Oba Femi at New Year’s Evil on 7th January 2025.
Booker T Addresses His Wrestling Comeback Match Against Zilla Fatu
At ROW Battle To The Bell on January 11th, Booker T competed in his first singles match since 2019 and defeated Zilla Fatu. It marked his in-ring return after almost two years since his last appearance at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, the veteran opened up on his bout against Fatu.
“Zilla Fatu stepped inside the ring with the real boss, Booker T. The owner, CEO, president of Reality of Wrestling. The thing is, it’s a thing called justice, and then there’s another thing. That thing is called street justice. The thing is, my mama told me a long time ago that if you big enough to pass a lick, you big enough to take one. That’s what this situation is. There’s a pecking order, and sometimes you gotta know your place. Sometimes, if you don’t know your place, what’s gonna happen?
You’re gonna get put in your place. That’s what’s gonna happen. The thing is, a lot of people came in. We had a sold-out house. Some people drove more than five hours to see Zilla Fatu take on Booker T, and I want to thank those guys. It was a sea, they were going crazy. It was a beautiful, beautiful night for Reality of Wrestling. But more importantly, sometimes, you got to learn, and you got to learn the hard way. That’s what I call that.
Do I love Zilla? I love Zilla. I love this kid. That was a learning experience for Zilla Fatu on Saturday night. He’s gonna take away from that and learn from that moment, and never, ever put himself in situation like that ever again. Trust me on that.”
