Good Ole’ JR Jim Ross has discussed his thoughts on AEW tag team star Dax Harwood and how he would be a star in any era of wrestling.
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross was discussing his thoughts on WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons.Mentioning how he felt that Simmons was “signable in any era” of professional wrestling.Ross then segued into his similar thoughts about the current member of the All Elite Wrestling roster.
“I said this about Dax Harwood the other day when he had his great match with Jungle Boy Jack Perry.Harwood would be a star in any generation that I’ve worked in.He’s fundamentally sound and he’s got a great mindset to be a pro-wrestling star, especially a pro-wrestling villain.”
Teaming with Cash Wheeler as FTR in AEW, the duo has a “throwback” style that has caught the eye of many legends of the business.They are managed by former Four Horsemen Tully Blanchard.Blanchard’s former tag team partner, Arn Anderson recently restated his fondness for the team on his ARN podcast, saying that he had considered managing the team.
Harwood and Wheeler won the AEW Tag Team Championships at All Out 2020 defeating Kenny Omega and Hangman Page.They would hold the titles for 2 months before losing them to The Young Bucks.
Previously competing in WWE as The Revival, the duo would become the first team to win the current version of the tag team title grand slam.Winning all three of the NXT, SmackDown, and Raw Tag Team Championships.
Jim Ross has also been discussing plans for his biography ‘Under The Black Hat’ to be turned into a film.
