Dax Harwood Working Through Shoulder Injury

Dax Harwood in the ring

It has recently been revealed that FTR’s Dax Harwood is currently working through a shoulder injury.

Harwood joins a long list of AEW wrestlers that are currently dealing with injuries, with major stars such as CM Punk, Adam Cole and Santana, among others, recently being forced to sit out on the side-lines.

While the former Scott Dawson hasn’t missed any in-ring time, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the current ROH World Tag Team Champion came out of his match at Death Before Dishonor “pretty banged up”.

Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

“Dax Harwood is the latest AEW wrestler working with a torn labrum. After the Briscoes match, he came out of it with a swollen eye, a stiff neck and his bad shoulder was worse.”

The ‘bad shoulder’ that Meltzer is referring to is reportedly a torn labrum, the same injury that, fellow AEW star, Adam Cole has been dealing with since his World Championship feud with Hangman Adam Page.

Unlike Cole, Harwood looks unlikely to take any time off if his social media is anything to go by. Following the recent Ring Of Honor pay-per-view, Dax posted on his Twitter account:

“The day after Death Before Dishonor. Swollen eye, stiff neck, f***ed up shoulder, but you keep going. All for the love of the game”

FTR are in the midst of one of the greatest runs of their career and are the current reigning AAA World Tag Team Champions, IWGP Tag Team Champions and ROH World Tag Team Champions.

Dax Harwood in particular has been singled out for praise after a run of impressive promos and highly-acclaimed matches, both as a tag and singles wrestler, in the first half of 2022. This latest injury shows little sign of slowing Harwood’s momentum and he looks set to continue his stellar year.
