With 2022 coming to a close, it can be said that Dax Harwood has had an excellent year in professional wrestling. From winning several championships with his FTR partner Cash Wheeler to wrestling in several highly-rated matches with the likes of Bryan Danielson, The Briscoes and Jay Lethal, Harwood has had great success this year.
Today, however, Dax Harwood has reflected on a match that occurred six years ago, dropping a surprising and bizarre fact.
Dax Harwood Reveals A Surprising Object Was Lodged In His Knee
Earlier today, Twitter user “Purodad” tweeted clips of a critically acclaimed battle between The Revival and American Alpha. The meeting of the two teams took place at NXT TakeOver: The End on June 8th, 2016, which was for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
As good as the match was, today’s focus was on something other than the match’s quality. In response to the tweet, Dax Harwood tweeted a peculiar fact which makes his performance in the bout even more incredible.
“Great times. I remember an hour before this match, my knee wouldn’t bend or straighten out. It was stuck in one position. 5 mins before we walked through the curtain, the floating particle in my knee finally dislodged & it started moving! The floating particle was this button…”
Harwood then attached a photo of the button in question, with the offending fastener encased within a plastic container.
Of course, this post gives more questions than answers. Many replies to Dax Harwood’s tweet express shock, disbelief and confusion about exactly how a button ends up in someone’s knee.
The wrestling universe has been screaming out for context on this mysterious knee-button story. Thankfully, Dax Harwood will soon provide it. In a follow-up tweet, he stated the following;
“I’ll tell the whole story when we talk The Revival vs American Alpha on FTR with Dax Harwood debuting this Thursday on iTunes, Spotify, or wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.”
Many say that 2022 has been a career year for Harwood, with big names like Jake Roberts and CM Punk singling him out for praise.
