Dax Harwood On The One Team He’d Face For The Rest Of His Career

Dax Harwood

Dax Harwood of FTR has named the one team he would face off with for the rest of his career if he and Cash Wheeler could only wrestle them.

Harwood was taking questions on social media at the end of what has been a big week for the AEW star. ‘Dax The Axe’ was The Pinnacle’s gas tank as he opened up the brutal Blood And Guts match for his team on AEW Dynamite.

Harwood, Wheeler, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, and MJF came out on top against Inner Circle in the all-out war. MJF won the match for his team when Sammy Guevara surrendered to stop his teammate Chris Jericho from being thrown off the top of the cage. Despite having won the match, MJF launched Jericho to the stage below.

When asked if he could only face one team for the rest of his career, Harwood had just two words for us:

“American Alpha”

FTR, then known as The Revival in WWE faced off with Chad Gable and Jason Jordan in some all-time classic tag team matches on NXT. At NXT TakeOver: Dallas in 2016 American Alpha unseated The Revival as NXT Tag Team Champions in just over 15 minutes.

However, just two months later at NXT TakeOver: The End, Harwood and Wheeler reclaimed the titles for their second reign as champions. As well as these high-profile matches the two teams met frequently on the NXT Live circuit, and would often compete in 2 out of 3 falls matches.

Dax Harwood and partner Wheeler left WWE after requesting their release in April 2020. Towards the end of May, the duo made their debut as The Revival on AEW Dynamite. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan’s partnership was not long for this world once they graduated to the WWE main roster.

Gable has since formed tandems with Bobby Roode, Shelton Benjamin, and currently Otis. The former Olympian, Gable, has recruited Otis as part of his ‘Alpha Academy.’ Jason Jordan had to step away from in-ring action in 2018 after surgery on a serious neck injury. His last match came at the 2018 Royal Rumble where he and Seth Rollins lost the Raw Tag Team Titles to The Bar – Sheamus and Cesaro. Since then Jordan has worked as a backstage producer at WWE and reportedly recently received a promotion within the company.
