The Pinnacle’s Dax Harwood has mocked AEW’s own social media for suggesting that The Young Bucks vs. Kenny Omega and Hangman Page at AEW Revolution in 2020 is the greatest tag team match ever.
The Young Bucks challenged Page and Omega for the AEW Tag Team Championships at Revolution in February 2020. The match became an instant classic receiving almost universal praise from critics and fans alike. Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer awarded the match six stars in the Observer Newsletter.
AEW’s social media responded to a clip of the match on Twitter, responding with the caption:
“The greatest tag team match of all time”
For Dax Harwood, that distinction is not one he makes of that match. For a tag team specialist like Harwood, another tag team classic from another time and another place springs to mind.
Harwood simply replied:
“Lol. Toronto says hello.”

The match Dax Harwood is referring to is himself and Cash Wheeler then known collectively as The Revival facing #DIY in NXT. At NXT TakeOver: Toronto in November 2016, The Revival were challenged for their NXT Tag Team Titles by Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa. An incredible two out of three falls match then ensued between the two teams lasting just over twenty-two minutes. In the end, #DIY were finally able to capture their first and only NXT Tag Team Championship.
The match ended in memorable fashion with both members of The Revival trapped in submission holds, both men tapped out simultaneously to give #DIY the decisive fall.
Harwood and Wheeler as FTR will be part of The Pinnacle’s team in the ultimate multi-man match at AEW Blood and Guts on May 5th. The one-match show will centre around The Pinnacle taking on Inner Circle in the WarGames style match. Harwood and Wheeler alongside manager Tully Blanchard shockingly joined MJF, Wardlow, and Shawn Spears earlier this year.
