AEW star Dax Harwood has bravely opened up about struggling with his weight and battling bulimia throughout his life.
The former AEW Tag Team Champion would share an incredible side-by-side photo showing a recent photo of him inside the All Elite Wrestling squared circle alongside another mirror snap of looking shredded, with the caption revealing his bulimia diagnosis and saying he was 282 pounds at his heaviest.
“Getting real for a second, I’ve always struggled with my weight. At one time, I was actually bulimic. My highest weight was 282lbs, which on a 5’10” frame is not very “attractive”; nor healthy. I’ve tried every diet, but they rarely worked because I’m so afraid of food. I was scared of going backwards.”
Harwood went on to credit Ferlan Bailey for helping to guide him on a healthier path, before signing off with, “Now all you Internet fans can go back to talking about my dad bod and loose skin!”
Wrestlers from across WWE and AEW would respond to Harwoods post with praise and support, including Elias, Mandy Rose, Drake Maverick, Apollo Crews, Peyton Royce, The Blade, Billy Gunn and Cash Wheeler.
Harwood recently received some very high praise from Jim Ross, who said the FTR man would be a star in any generation. The praise goes hand in hand with that of Arn Anderson, who recently told Inside The Ropes how he believes Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are better than he and Tully Blanchard ever were.
Everyone at Inside The Ropes congratulates Dax Harwood on his bravery and openness, and we wish him all the best as he continues his journey.
