Davey Boy Smith Jr. isn’t concerning himself with the horrific allegations against Vince McMahon.
On January 25th, Wall Street Journal reported that former WWE employee Janel Grant had filed a new lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The lawsuit contains horrifying allegations and graphic descriptions of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking at the hands of McMahon and former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. This is the latest in allegations about Vince McMahon that began back in 2022 when it was reported that the WWE Chairman paid $12 million in hush money to four women.
On January 26th, Vince McMahon resigned from all duties with TKO and WWE while continuing to deny the allegations against him. WWE parent company TKO also issued a statement on his resignation.

Speaking exclusively to Kenny McIntosh for Inside the Ropes, MLW star Davey Boy Smith Jr. was asked about the allegations against McMahon and if he believes the tide could be turning when it comes to the historically poor treatment of women in professional wrestling.
“Well I said this before, silence is golden and duct tape is silver. You know what, it’s not my business. I hope that [respecting women] should always be instilled, but when I read about [the allegations], I got a bunch of texts and I read like two sentences and then I just said I’m not going to read any more of this, don’t really care.”
Continuing, Smith explained that he’s more interested in focusing on himself and his own spiritual journey than the horrific details of the lawsuit.
“I actually don’t spend a whole lot of time on my phone now. I carry around a lot of shungite and a lot of different crystals and into Neopagan and stuff like that. I actually do hours of studying Japanese and reading every day. So it just made me want to toss my phone like a frisbee and just focus on myself. I honestly couldn’t give a frog’s fat ass what Vince’s sexual preferences are. So, you know, that’s that.”
