According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, MLW Superstar Davey Boy Smith Jr. is wanted by several of the top wrestling promotions in the world.

In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer states that WWE, AEW, All Japan Pro Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling are looking to bring in the son of wrestling legend, The British Bulldog.

With Smith’s current MLW contract expiring on December 18, making him a free agent, Dave Meltzer notes that the talent is not yet swayed towards one company more than another and he would make his decision on where his future lays depending on what makes sense business wise.

There is of course every chance that he will re-sign with MLW.

However, Smith has recently had dealings with both WWE and AEW. Vince McMahon’s promotion filmed the powerhouse for clips to be included in an upcoming WWE Network special and documentary about his father and he recently attended a Halloween party hosted by Chris Jericho during which he was said to have spoken to Tony Khan.

Until his contract expires, however, Davey Boy Smith Jr. is MLW through and through having participated in their MLW Restart tapings several weeks ago. He recently opined that he wants Jacob Fatu and his MLW World Heavyweight Championship.

However, long time WWE fans will salivate at the thought of Smith returning to the company to win the WWE Championship for his father. The one goal The British Bulldog sadly never achieved.

MLW The Restart will begin on November 18.

Inside the Ropes will keep you up to date with where Davey Boy Smith Jr. lands when more details become available.
