Dave Meltzer has given his thoughts on NXT No Mercy.
No Mercy was headlined by the Extreme Rules match between Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Title. The match was seen as the best of WWE today, taking on a woman who is sure to be one of the biggest stars in the future.
When all was said and done it was Lynch who retained the gold, but not before she’d been pushed to her limit by the challenger. Becky Lynch missed the following episode of Raw due to an injury sustained during the match.
Elsewhere, Ilja Dragunov defeated Carmelo Hayes in a wild match to win the NXT Title for the first time.
The other title change on the show saw Trick Williams get the better of North American Champion Dominik Mysterio. It’s since been reported that Williams’ win was initially scheduled for Mustafa Ali before his release. On the following episode of NXT, Williams lost the title straight back to Mysterio.
