At WWE Survivor Series 2022, WarGames came to the main roster for the first time, and Becky Lynch stepped back into the ring for the first time in four months. But what did Dave Meltzer make of the action?
Survivor Series opened with the women’s WarGames Match which featured the in-ring return of Becky Lynch. The Man had been revealed as the fifth member of ‘Team Belair’ 24-hours earlier on SmackDown. In the end it was Lynch who scored the win for her team, jumping from the top of the cage to put Dakota Kia and IYO SKY through a table. In the main event, The Bloodline triumphed over Sheamus, Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, Butch and Ridge Holland.
However, the biggest story of the match was Sami Zayn coming to the aid of Roman Reigns at the expense of former best friend Kevin Owens. After attacking Owens, Zayn handed KO over to Jey Uso to deliver a Frog Splash for the win. The sequence solidified Zayn as part of The Bloodline, leading to him being embraced by both Reigns and long-time sceptic Jey after the match.
Elsewhere, Ronda Rousey retained her SmackDown Women’s Title with a win over Shotzi, and Austin Theory won the United States Championship.
