Dave Meltzer’s WWE Payback star ratings have been revealed.
WWE Payback took place on September 2nd at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The event was attended by over 14,000 fans, this is the first Payback event that the WWE has held since 2020, which took place behind closed doors at the WWE ThunderDome in Orlando, Florida.
This event took place the same night as AEW’s Collision show and just a day before the AEW All Out pay-per-view happened. This was the first time that WWE has held a premium live event in Pittsburgh since Extreme Rules in 2018.
Payback saw a number of exciting matchups and segments, including John Cena returning to host the show, in action we saw Becky Lynch finally go head-to-head with Trish Stratus in a steel cage match, Rey Mysterio took on Austin Theory for the United States Championship and Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakakmura.
