Dave Meltzer SummerSlam 2022 Ratings Revealed

WWE SummerSlam 2022

Dave Meltzer has revealed his match ratings for WWE’s latest Premium Live Event SummerSlam.

SummerSlam 2022 marked the dawn of a new era in WWE. For the first time ever the company hosted a pay-per-view/Premium Live Event without Vince McMahon in charge and calling the shots.

In his place, Triple H has taken over creative control, and Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have assumed control at boardroom level.

In the ring SummerSlam didn’t feature any title changes, but there were plenty of thrills, spills, and shock returns for the show to generally be considered a success.

In the main event Roman Reigns triumphed over Brock Lesnar in perhaps the wildest Last Man Standing Match in history, with The Beast trying to tip the ring over with a tractor. Elsewhere, Becky Lynch sustained a serious shoulder injury in defeat to Bianca Belair, while Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai all made surprise returns after the match.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has now given his ratings for the eight matches on the card.

The lowest rated match on the card was Liv Morgan’s clash with Ronda Rousey, while at the other end of the scale, Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar was awarded four stars.
