Dave Meltzer Claims NXT “Should Probably” Beat AEW In The Ratings

Dave Meltzer Claims NXT

Dave Meltzer stated that NXT “should probably” beat AEW Dynamite in the ratings on October 10th.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer made a prediction for the upcoming television ratings battle between AEW Dynamite and WWE’s developmental brand NXT. With Dynamite moving to Tuesday night due to the MLB Playoffs, the two wrestling shows are set to face off on October 10th.

It remains to be seen how this ratings battle will play out, but both shows have been actively promoting the upcoming event on social media. AEW has confirmed that the Rated R Superstar, Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, will be making his in-ring debut for the company, squaring off against Luchasaurus.

On the other hand, WWE has announced major appearances from massively popular Superstars on NXT, including the likes of John Cena, who is set to be in the corner of Carmelo Hayes as he takes on Bron Breakker. The Bloodline’s manager Paul Heyman will be in the corner of Breakker for this match. WWE also announced that Cody Rhodes will also be making a major announcement on the show.

Meltzer believes that due to these major names appearing on NXT, it should beat Dynamite in the ratings war for October 10th. Meltzer stated:

They have a real good shot at winning. I mean, yeah, I think that they should probably win,
