Darren Drozdov Passes Away Aged 54

It has been announced that Darren Drozdov has passed away. Drozdov was better known to WWE fans as Droz after a spell with the company in the late 1990s.

After a run in the NFL where he turned out for the Denver Broncos amongst others, Drosdov began appearing in ECW in 1997.

The would-be star signed with WWE a year later and became famous for his appearance in the documentary ‘Beyond The Mat’ where showcased his unusual skill of being able to vomit on demand. This led to him being dubbed “Puke,” while joining forces with the Road Warriors.

However, Drozdov’s career was tragically cut short in October 1999 after suffering an injury in a match with D’Lo Brown. As a result of the accident, Drozdov was never able to walk again after breaking two vertebrae in his neck. Despite his injury, he remained with WWE, writing for various magazines and WWE.com

WWE paid tribute to Drozdov during the opening to the June 30th episode of SmackDown.
