Darby Allin has confirmed that both he and Sting will be on the card for AEW All Out on September 4th.
With AEW All Out just around the corner the card for the event is quickly moving into focus. While there remains uncertainty around the main event scene, the rest of the show is looking a lot more done and dusted.
However, someone who doesn’t have a match at the show, at least for now, is Darby Allin. In recent weeks and months Allin and his mentor Sting have been locked in a feud with the House of Black. On the August 10th edition of Dynamite, Allin and Brody King met in a chaotic and quickly blood-soaked Coffin Match which saw interference from Sting as well as Brody King’s stablemates. Although in the end it was Allin who picked up the win.
Speaking during an appearance on DDP Snake Pit with Jake Roberts and Diamond Dallas Page, the face-painted daredevil confirmed that he and the WCW legend will be at the upcoming spectacular in Chicago.
“Me and Sting will be there,” Darby said about All Out in Chicago. “Our match will be announced Wednesday. We will be at All Out.”
During the conversation, Allin also revealed that he took out a loan worth $12,000 in order to join AEW. The former TNT Champion used to money to buy himself out of a contract with another promotion, leaving him free to become All Elite.
At All Out 2021, Darby Allin wrestled CM Punk in what was the former WWE Champion’s first match for AEW, and first anywhere in more than seven years.
Despite a lack of an official announcement, it is expected that Punk will headline this year’s event as he attempts to regain the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley.
