Darby Allin Has 2 Major AEW Goals For 2024

Darby Allin has set high expectations for himself for the rest of the year.

2024 looks to be a standout year for the AEW star. Currently reigning as one half of the Tag Team Champions alongside Sting, Allin will also be a part of history as he will team with The Icon for his final match at Revolution. With the partnership set to come to an end in a matter of weeks, what’s next on Allin’s checklist?

Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Allin stated that his first goal is the same as many stars of All Elite Wrestling, to become the number one champion of the promotion:

“So to be the face of a company, I believe you have to be World Champion. That is the next logical step when I get back from Everest because Everest is almost like a vision quest in a way. I’m going to go dig deep down inside the mountains and find out what it’s really like inside of here.

Allin continued, noting that he had a dream opponent that he wanted to face one on one in AEW, The American Dragon:

“Outside of that, wrestling-wise, before this man’s career is done, Danielson. That’s the next thing that — and it had nothing to do with us being from the northwest his work ethic. He’s another man, his career was supposed to be over. He came back and he’s better than ever. So, it’s like, those are my two things that I want to hit in AEW.”

Darby Allin Ignores Career Advice From Wrestling Veteran

Having been a part of All Elite Wrestling since the beginning, fans are now well accustomed as to what to expect when the Tag Team Champion is in action. Never one to favour the methodical style or rely on rest holds, Allin’s matches start at 10 and remain at full speed until the match is over. With many high-impact moves and near misses, veterans have expressed concern in regards to Allin’s longevity both in the ring and in general. In a previous interview, Darby Allin revealed that he doesn’t listen to the advice Ric Flair told him.
