Darby Allin Admits Gunther’s Chops Are Brutal But AEW Star Hits Harder

Darby Allin knows all too well what a Gunther chop feels like, but admits he has been hit harder.

Prior to his arrival in WWE, fans familiar with the independent scene were very familiar with the man formerly known as Walter. With some of the most devastating strikes in living memory, many top stars of today have been struck by The Ring General over the course of their careers.

In 2018, Allin faced Gunther in Evolve and picked up the victory over the current World Heavyweight Champion. Speaking with KQ2, the former TNT Champion was asked about the worst strike he has taken. Although Allin still remembers the Gunther chop all too well, long-time rival Brody King takes the top spot:

“People ask me what’s the worst chop I’ve ever taken in wrestling, I would say his is second, but Brody King’s is first by far. I feel like my heart stopped when Brody chops me. I’d say Brody first, Gunther second. I don’t even know who’s third, but those two definitely stand out.”

Allin lost to Brody King in the opening match of the 2024 Continental Classic. Unfortunately for one AEW star, their time in the Continental Classic Tournament may have come to an end.

Darby Allin Looking To Go Bigger!

Over the past 5 years, Allin has made a name for himself by participating in crazier spots in the ring and even crazier stunts outside of the ring. Looking to take things to the next level, Darby Allin recently outlined an insane stunt he hopes to perform on live TV.

At a recent appearance, Darby Allin spoke more about his upcoming Mount Everest climb.
