The latest episode of AEW Dynamite saw Top Flight’s Dante Martin set an incredible record!
Dante Martin broke on to the scene with his brother Darius as tag team Top Flight in AEW in late 2020. With Darius out of action for over a year after suffering an injury, Dante has made the most of his opportunity as a solo act and lit up AEW rings with his acrobatic wrestling style. At just 21 years old, he’s stacked up an impressive record and previously competed for the Dynamite Diamond Ring against MJF, though he was unsuccessful at capturing the prize.
While Darius returned from injury on the March 2nd episode of Dynamite to re-form Top Flight and take part in a tag team battle royal alongside his brother, Dante’s single’s achievements haven’t fallen by the wayside as the 21 year old earned a shot to face Hangman Adam Page for the AEW Championship, and the match took place on the most recent episode of Dynamite.
The match saw Martin in his element, executing a number of acrobatic moves that kept the champion on his toes. Ultimately, though, he fell victim to a Buckshot Lariat after one of his high flying attempts fell short.

After Adam Page retained the title via pinfall, he got on the microphone to call his opponent back to the ring and made it clear that he respects Dante Martin’s ability, and declared that the young performer is definitely a star.
Bodyslam.net pointed out on Twitter that his match against Adam Page made Dante Martin the youngest man to challenge for the AEW World Championship in the company’s history.
