On the March 17th edition of NXT the main event saw the NXT Tag Team Champions Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan take on the team of NXT Champion Finn Balor and Karrion Kross.
The champions would eventually retain their titles, thanks in large part to Karrion Kross who tuned on his partner and rival Balor.
However, it was reported shortly after the match that Danny Burch had sustained a separated shoulder during the contest, with PWInsider reporting that the true extent of his injury was still being evaluated.
It has now been officially confirmed by Matt Camp of WWE’s The Bump that Burch has indeed suffered a separated shoulder, posting an x-ray photo of the injury.
NXT General Manger William Regal was quick to follow up on the news commenting that:
I can confirm this incredibly unfortunate news and make the difficult decision to vacate the #WWENXT Tag Team Titles. Furthermore, I will address the state of the titles further tomorrow night on @WWENXT

Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan originally joined forces in 2017 after feuding throughout the summer. The no-nonsense team have appeared in numerous high profile matches during their time together against the likes of the Undisputed Era.
However, it wasn’t until the they defeated Fandango and Tyler Breeze in October 2020 that they finally lifted the NXT Tag Team Titles.
