It has been reported that one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, Danny Burch, sustained an injury during the main event of the March 17th episode of the black and gold brand.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Burch may have suffered a separated shoulder, although at the time of the report, his injury was still being evaluated.

The NXT main event saw, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan take on the uneasy team of Finn Balor and Karrion Korss.

The tag team champions would eventually emerge from the chaos victorious, but owing a great debt to Kross, who had somewhat predictably turned on his partner for the evening.

Earlier on in the episode it was announced that NXT Champion Finn Balor will defend his title against Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

After making his NXT debut back in April 2021, Kross wasted little time in climbing to the top of the black and gold mountain, winning the NXT Championship just four months later at NXT TakeOver: XXX. However, the man formerly known as Killer Kross, was forced to relinquish the belt on the following edition of NXT after sustaining a separated shoulder of his own.

At time of writing there has been no official confirmation from WWE on Burch’s injury.
