Danhausen recently attempted to involve WWE’s APA (Acolytes Protection Agency to attack a notable AEW team.
Despite being a favorite in both AEW and ROH, Danhausen has made several enemies these past few years, among them being Austin and Colten Gunn of The Gunns, whom the star referred to as “The A** Boys.” However, his approach with the WWE Hall of Famers went sideways.
In an Instagram video, Danhausen appeared in the recently held Oklahoma Comic-Con event, where he attempted to hire The APA, to whom he referred to as “The A** Pounding Agency,” to take out longtime rivals Austin and Colten Gunn.
Upon meeting Ron Simmons (fka Farooq) and John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL), Danhausen said he wanted to hire them to beat up Billy A** (Billy Gunn) and his “pesky a**boys.” JBL initially agreed, as he wanted to beat up Gunn again, but the stars couldnt quite close the deal.
Danhausen stated that he would pay them handsomely, but only brought with him a Coke Zero, an apple that he told the Hall of Famers to share, and $10. The AEW star then asked the legends if they were ready, and they responded with silence, their disbelief evident. However, Very Nice Very Evil took this as a sign of agreement and walked away cheerily.
When the AEW star left, Simmons acted as if he was about to utter his popular catchphrase “Damn!” but instead, he said the Danhausen interaction was one of the dumbest things he had ever encountered. The reaction made JBL laugh, adding that the apple was stupid and calling the 34-year-old an idiot.

Danhausen’s AEW Contract Reportedly Ended In July
Despite being a fan favorite, Danhausen hasn’t been featured on AEW television lately and is mainly seen during independent shows. In June, it was reported by Fightful Select that his All Elite Wrestling contract was supposed to wrap up by July. However, injury time may have been added to his deal.
Since there are no reports of him departing the Jacksonville-based promotion, additional time may have been added to his contract, or a new deal may have been reached, but there are no reports indicating this. Interestingly, it was also reported that WWE was interested in hiring Danhausen.
