Dana Warrior Calls Out “Smut And Filth” Dark Side Of The Ring Episode

The Ultimate Warrior

Posting on social media, Dana Warrior, the late wife of The Ultimate Warrior, has said that she has played no part in the upcoming Dark Side of the Ring episode about the former WWE Champion.

Sunday night (May 23rd) also saw the premiere of an A&E Biography special on The Ultimate Warrior. Writing on Instagram ahead of the premiere, Dana posted a photo of Ultimate Warrior with his daughter, with the caption:

“A daughter will change a man…two, well two, will teach him to be the man he ultimately wants to be. @aetv @wwe see how his little warrior girls raised him too.”

In the comments to the post, Dana was then asked about the upcoming Dark Side of the Ring episode. However, Dana gave the documentary short shrift, saying that she “had no part in the project. Smut and filth does not rise to my note.”

The A&E Biography series has also attracted criticism in recent weeks as some took issue with an episode on Macho Man Randy Savage. While episodes on Stone Cold Steve Austin, Roddy Piper and Ultimate Warrior passed without incident, the Macho Man special drew criticism for being too hard on someone who is no longer around to defend themselves.

After the show aired, Eric Bischoff stated that he was “embarrassed” to have been involved, while Lanny Poffo said that his brother had been vilified.
