Dana Brooke’s WWE Release Affected Immediate NXT Plans

Dana Brooke Former WWE Superstar

The release of Dana Brooke from WWE sent some reverberations all the way down in NXT.

Shawn Michaels conducted a NXT Media Call in light of No Mercy going down this weekend and was asked about the effects that the release of Mustafa Ali had on the roster. Michaels noted that Mustafa will definitely be a star who he’ll miss, he was also asked by Fightful if any other releases happened to affect the brand’s immediate plans.

Brooke did just happen to make her way back to NXT weeks ago and was always vocal about being an active presence in the ring. Fightful was told by sources outside of Shawn Michaels that NXT was happy to have Brooke on the team, that she was well-liked and always willing to help.

Dana Brooke Comments On Her WWE Release

A few days after she was let go from WWE after being with the company for over ten years, Dana Brooke released a heartfelt and lenghty statement regarding her exit. She called her tenure there a “fairytale” existence even despite suffering hardships, particularly the tragic loss of her boyfriend back in 2017. However, Brooke made it clear that she is far from done with the “one true sport” of pro wrestling.

“This isn’t THE END… this is moving forward to the next chapter of my fairytale.. a rocky patch In my relationship named WRESTLING- but I promise YOU ALL, I WILL KEEP GOING.. I will never let you down.. I LOVE YOU ALL… the fairytale continues.”

Now known in TNA as Ash By Elegance, Dana Brooke has stated that WWE never believed in her while with the company.
