On Monday Night Raw, WWE United Sates Champion Damian Priest debuted new entrance music, and unfortunately for his opponent a new vicious, ruthless streak.
While Damian Priest may have stayed on Monday Night Raw following the WWE Draft, he still had something new planned for the season premiere on October 25th.
The changes began before Priest even made it to the ring with the debut outing of his new theme music and titantron. The new music features what sounds like a church choir intermittently singing over the top of new crunching riff.
Meanwhile, the United States Champion’s graphics now show his silhouette split into two, one side burning representing hell with the other cast in bright light, angelic in appearance.
By the time Priest arrived in the ring, his opponent T-Bar quickly found out that along with the new theme came a new attitude. During the short bout, T-Bar threw a chair at Priest, who completely snapped. The former NXT North American Champion destroyed his rival at ringside before delivering the Reckoning back inside the ring to stand tall over T-Bar’s now broken body.
Damian Priest had earlier teased that a new edgier persona could be on the way on social media. With a new black and white photo Priest wrote the caption “This Monday, new era…”
Elsewhere on the show, RK-Bro defended their Raw Tag Team Titles against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins is the new number one contender of the WWE Championship. Rollins defeated Rey Mysterio, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor in a Fatal-Four-Way Ladder Match to earn a shot at Big E.
It was also announced that Becky Lynch will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair on November 1st. Despite both women arriving on a new brand they quickly found each other with the ensuing brawl leaving the champion scrambling.
