Damian Priest Has A Karrion Kross Rematch In His Crosshairs

‘The Archer of Infamy’ Damian Priest has vowed that he and Karrion Kross will meet again on WWE’s main roster in the not too distant future.

In December 2020, the former NXT North American Champion began a mini-feud with the submission machine upon Kross’ return to NXT television. When Scarlett appeared on the stage during Priest’s confrontation with Johnny Gargano, the warrior informed her that if her boyfriend wanted a fight then he should leave his car – where he was waiting backstage – and come and find him.

Later in the broadcast, the artist formerly known as Punishment Martinez was ambushed by a returning Karrion Kross who attacked the star from behind and picked his bones clean leading to the pair colliding at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 6, 2021.

While Kross triumphed in their initial meeting – which was also Priest’s NXT swansong – the pair never got a chance for a rematch after Damian was called-up to WWE’s main roster.

However, now ‘The Archer of Infamy’ has spoken to Sportskeeda about a potential rematch and vowed that he will meet his subjugator again on a bigger stage:

“Absolutely, I’m looking forward to a rematch. Just based on who we are as human beings, as competitors. It’s inevitable that we’re gonna clash again and I look forward to it. Look, he’s somebody that’s been, since he got in, everybody has had high praise and looked at him as ‘okay, big things will come’ and then you end up with him and you get it. I was in there with him and we’re trading blows and I was like okay I get it. So yeah, I look forward to, you know, from the outside looking and just seeing his success and watching him grow in this business. He’ll be fine, to say the least. I look forward to once again at some point mixing up with him.”

Damian Priest is currently favoured for a WrestleMania 37 spot alongside international recording artist, Bad Bunny, against The Miz and John Morrison following the quartet’s dealings at the 2021 Royal Rumble and the February 1 and February 8 Monday Night Raw.
