Damian Priest Details Creative Process For New WWE Theme

Damian Priest has discussed the creative freedom he was given for his new WWE theme.

On the Raw after WrestleMania, the World Heavyweight Champion was introduced by the rest of The Judgment Day to celebrate his successful Money in the Bank cash-in. As Preist made his entrance, it was noted that he had a brand new theme to accompany his new championship.

Discussing how the theme was put together while appearing on The Bump, Priest confirmed that he did all the vocals himself and that he was given free rein to create something that is representative of himself:

“I put a lot of work into this song. Just the entire process. They let me have a lot of say-so, actually all say-so with the song. I did the vocals myself. [Is this to signify a new chapter in your career?] Yeah. I mean, it’s all new. New championship, new attitude, I got to use a little bit of everything. I got to incorporate my culture, I speak Spanish in the song, I speak English. We talk about rise, it’s the bad guy, good stuff. There’s a few little things in the song. I had fun with this one and it was a whole new experience being in the studio. That was a lot of fun too.”

In a new interview, Damian Priest revealed what he wanted for a dream WrestleMania entrance.
