Dalton Castle Becomes Free Agent

By Lyle Kilbane. Published 11th January 2021.
Dalton Castle

Dalton Castle is now a free agent and able to negotiate with different companies, according to Wrestling Inc. Castle has been offered a new deal from Ring of Honor, which is said to be a good deal but is exploring his options.

‘The Peacock of Professional Wrestling’ has worked for Ring of Honour since 2013, where he first debuted with his long-standing partners ‘The Boys.’ This three-man team won the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championships by defeating Bully Ray and The Briscoes in 2017. This was Castle’s first title with the organisation.

In December 2017, Dalton Castle won the Ring of Honour World Championship but defeating Cody Rhodes at the Final Battle event. He held the title for just over six months before losing it to Jay Lethal.

Ring of Honor has been re-signing many of their existing talent to new deals. Mark Haskins, Bandido, Bateman, and inaugural ROH Women’s Champion Sumie Sakai are among those who have re-signed with the company. In contrast, ROH recently announced that they have come to terms on the release of Marty Scurll.

Castle’s last appearance for Ring of Honor took place in December 2020 at the company’s TV tapings. He defeated Brian Johnson, another recent ROH re-signee with his patented Bang-a-rang.
