Dakota Kai commented after she and Raquel Gonzalez lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships just three days into their reign.
At NXT Stand & Deliver, Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai defeated Toxic Attraction to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. The two had reunited just days before after a long stint as of being at odds with one another. Dakota’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic partner was instrumental in helping them secure the victory, hitting Gigi Dolin with her pillow and also pouring a drink onto her while Jacy Jayne was left alone to be pinned in the ring.
On the latest episode of NXT 2.0, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne were granted a rematch and looked to regain the titles they had lost. When Wendy Choo looked to get involved again, NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose took her out at ringside. In the end, the Toxic Attraction members were able to hit a double team Toxic Shock for the pinfall victory, regaining their tag team titles.
Taking to social media, Dakota Kai compared this reign to the first time the two became champions when they won the inaugural Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. On that occasion, they were only champions for one hour before losing the titles to Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon on the very same episode of NXT.
