And new! Dakota Kai and IYO SKY are your WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions!
However, not only did the duo win back the championships that they previously lost to Alexa Bliss and Asuka on the latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, but they also made history while doing it.
Dakota Kai And IYO SKY Accomplish Royal Feat
Dakota Kai and IYO SKY are leaving Saudi Arabia as the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, but also accomplished a first-ever accomplishment in the royal nation: Their title win was the first time that a women’s championship changed hands for an event in Saudi Arabia.
During World Wrestling Entertainment’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, Kai and SKY would square off against Alexa Bliss and Asuka, going back-and-forth in an intense match. Eventually Nikki Cross would show up and interfere in the match. As Bliss was going to the top rope in an attempt to pull off her Twisted Bliss move, Cross would come out of nowhere and attack her from behind.
Afterwards, Cross then hit Bliss with a hanging neckbreaker and got out of the ring before the referee spotted her. As a result, Dakota Kai and SKY would take advantage for a pinfall win, once again giving the heels the championship belts.

With Bliss and Asuka, they held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship for just five days, which is the shortest reign in history of the title’s existence.
In other news related to Damage CTRL, their leader Bayley would have an intense Last Woman Standing match with Bianca Belair for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship at Crown Jewel. After the two clashed with several weapons — including a golf cart getting involved — Belair would eventually retain her title against Bayley, which continues the cold streak for the heel, unlike her tag team champion faction mates.
