A current WWE Superstar received new theme music for their dark match before SmackDown this past week.
Raquel Rodriguez debuted on the WWE main roster with much hype after her impressive run on NXT. The young upstart made a splash on SmackDown when she competed for the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey on May 13th.
She then made quite the impression during the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match earlier in July.
Rodriguez has seemingly assimilated into the main roster, utilizing her brute strength and power against many top talents. The superstar has undergone changes since arriving from NXT, notably her last name changing from Gonzales to Rodriguez.
Now, it seems her entrance music has also changed. A fan-made YouTube video shows that Rodriguez received new entrance music during her dark match before SmackDown this past week.
Her original entrance theme, “Get Out Of My Way,” has now been replaced with a flashier tune. The young upstart defeated Sonya Deville in the dark match, gaining more momentum on the main roster.
Before her debut on SmackDown, Rodriguez dominated the NXT women’s roster during most of her tenure there. Last year, she captured the NXT Women’s Championship after defeating Io Shirai at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Her final appearance on the brand was losing the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships to Toxic Attraction.
