The Great Khali is a man in demand after a current WWE Superstar issued an open invite to the WWE Hall Of Famer to return to the company.
The giant Indian first debuted in WWE in 2006 and soon set his sights on dominating The Undertaker. In the summer of 2007, the gargantuan superstar etched his place in WWE history forever when he captured the World Heavyweight Championship after winning a battle royal for the gold.
Khali stayed with the company until 2014, never managing to quite hit the heights of his early days as a WWE Superstar. He did however make a brief return in 2017 when he helped Jinder Mahal retain his WWE Championship against Randy Orton in a Punjabi Prison match.
Now speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Mahal says he’d welcome The Great Khali back by his side once again with open arms:
“I would love to bring The Great Khali back! WWE Hall of Famer; much congratulations to The Great Khali, awesome person, awesome WWE Superstar. Yeah, if it was up to me, Great Khali would have been with me every week. Great Khali, maybe this is an invite to you, come back to the WWE; I would love to have you.”
Mahal could have used the behemoth by his side at SummerSlam for his match with Drew McIntyre as his other associates Veer and Shanky were banned from ringside. McIntyre’s trusty Claymore was Mahal’s undoing as 3MB exploded at The Biggest Party Of The Summer with the Scotsman picking up the win before he chased off Mahal and his cohort who had come to check on their leader with his trusty sword.
The Great Khali was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2021 before WrestleMania 37. Khali joined Eric Bischoff, Rob Van Dam, Kane, Molly Holly, and Ozzy Osbourne in the Class of 2021.
