Current WWE Champion Thinks John Cena Might Want Their Title One More Time

A current champion in WWE is prepared for a potential challenge from John Cena.

With Cena set to go on a lenghty retirement tour in 2025, conversations about who could be some of the Hollywood star’s opponents have become a part of many wrestler interviews. While many hope that they will get to be in a match with Cena one final time, it could be argued that the title holders have some leverage in convincing Cena to accept the challenge.

While Cena has won the World Championship 16 times, he has previously held the US Championship 5 times and was also his first main roster championship win back in 2004. Current champion LA Knight is aware of what the title means to Cena and is willing to face off against his former tag partner.

Appearing at a signing for Fanatics Fest in New York, Knight stated that he would put the title on the line against the Hollywood star and believes that their alliance at Fastlane has given him an advantage:

“Former tag partners. You never know. He might want to come back and get this United States Championship one more time—a guy who has been a staple for this championship. I would field that challenge, for sure. With him being my tag partner, I might just know him a little bit. You talk about the greatest of all time and what some might call the future.”

John Cena Confirms Attendance For Major WWE Date

Although Cena has announced that there will be 36 dates on his retirement tour and one of those will be at WrestleMania, it is unknown when or where fans will be seeing Cena for the remained of 2025. However, in a recent interview, John Cena confirmed that he would be at a historic WWE show.
