Current WWE Champion Open To Facing Penta: “Never Say Never”

Penta WWE

Penta has finally arrived in WWE.

On the recent 13th January episode of Raw, former AEW star Pentagon finally made his World Wrestling Entertainment debut after weeks of speculations. Defeating Chad Gable in his debut match, the former Impact World Champion has now generated interest from the current women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green.

Pentagon and Green share a long history from their time in the Indies and even faced each other once at Lucha Underground in 2018, where Pentagon stood out victorious. Reflecting on another possible bout between the two, Green shared her thoughts during an interview with Cultaholic’s Tom Campbell.

“Well look, never say never as Justin Bieber once said. Never say never. However, that was one of the craziest matches I’ve ever had in my whole entire life. I owe everything to Penta for that match. He, seriously, held my hand and wrestled me through that 15-minute match.

The fact that it just keeps coming up and going viral again is really cool, because at the time it was a big deal, at the time I really felt proud of it but then we move on, the next week hits and we watch the next show and we’re onto the next move. So it’s really interesting to see it kind of keep popping up and making a resurgence.”

Green further claimed that with the Mexican Luchador now in the Stamford-based promotion, she cannot wait to ‘beat him up’.

The two are yet to come face-to-face with other due to the existing brand differences. While the former champ made his appearance on Raw, Green is an active member of the SmackDown roster.

Wrestling his first match in almost three months, Pentagon picked up pace throughout the match and finished the bout on a strong note. Soon after, in a post-match interview with Jackie Redmond, the newly arrived star hyped up the San Jose crowd with a strong promo.

First Ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Crowned

On the December edition of SNME, Chelsea Green defeated Michin to become the inaugural Women’s United States Champion.

Following in her footsteps, Lyra Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai after a violent match to become the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion on the 13th January edition of Raw on Netflix.
