With WrestleMania 39 now just days away and the card now almost set, the anticipation for the WWE’s biggest event of the year is building. The event has switched to a two-night spectacular since WrestleMania 36 and one current WWE Champion has set their eyes on competing on both evening’s in Los Angeles this year.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Becky Lynch wants to compete on both nights at this year’s WrestleMania

Current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Becky Lynch is set to join forces with her title winning partner Lita and former WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus to take on Damage CTRL, the trio of Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky, at this year’s ‘Showcase Of The Immortals’.

WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus made a sensational return on 28th February edition of RAW to help her long time friend and fellow Hall Of Famer Lita and partner Becky Lynch overcome the odds and defeat Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Soon after the trio would challenge Damage CTRL to a match at WrestleMania, emanating this year from SoFI Stadium in Los Angeles.

Lynch, however, has spoken out in a recent interview to suggest that one appearance this year may not be enough. Speaking on a recent edition of The Tommy Tiernan Show, ‘The Man’ would highlight her desire to also defend the Tag Team Championship at this year’s WrestleMania:

“I’m going in on the first night in a Six-Woman match, and then because I’m tag team Champion, I’m hoping that I will be defending that title on the second night. So, ‘Becky Two-Fights,’ they’ll call me. I don’t know. They might. We’ll try to get that on a t-shirt or something”

Former two-time RAW Women’s Champion and four-time SmackDown Women’s Champion Lynch has not tasted success on ‘The Grandest Stage Of Them All’ since a successful defence of the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36, so will be keen to get back to winning ways this time around. The Limerick born star has received praised online for her handling of the interview with Tiernan, with many believing the former Father Ted actor to have been dismissive of professional wrestling and Lynch’s achievements in sports entertainment.
