Brock Lesnar appears to have unfinished business with the UFC roster.
The Beast was one of the biggest talking points following the Raw after WrestleMania, where Lesnar shockingly turned on Cody Rhodes before the two were due to team together to take on the team of Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.
UFC Fighter Wants To Slap Brock Lesnar In The Face
Before the April 3rd episode of the red brand would go on the air, news broke that UFC owners Endeavour are to merge with the WWE in a deal that is worth over $21 billion.
With the Ultimate Fighting Championship and World Wrestling Entertainment now under the same umbrella, many have speculated on the possibility of crossover appearances between the two promotions. The stars themselves have also been teasing future appearances, with a former WWE Champion calling out Conor McGregor for a possible match in the future.
Current UFC Fighter Gilbert Burns has also commented on the merger and possible crossovers by calling out someone who is no stranger to the octagon, Brock Lesnar.
Burns called out the former UFC Heavyweight Champion during a press conference ahead of UFC 287:
“I think both are huge companies that can help each other build even better marketing for each one. I think UFC can learn so much from the WWE and vice-versa, and it’s a good opportunity to slap Brock Lesnar in the face. I never met [Brock]. He’s lucky I never met him. I want to slap him because he cannot push DC [Daniel Cormier] like that when he came all the way there in the Octagon. I want to slap him in the face,”
The incident in question took place following the events of the UFC 226 pay-per-view. Following Daniel Cormier defeating Stipe Miocic in the main event of the show, Lesnar entered the cage and shoved Cormier. Security quickly intervened to sperate the two former UFC Champions.
Gilbert Burns is scheduled to face Jorge Masvidal at the UFC 287 pay-per-view.
