Another member of the AEW roster is unfortunately dealing with an injury.
The past weekend saw injuries hit the AEW and ROH rosters with multiple wrestlers sidelined until further notice. Adding to the list, a current champion suffered an injury in the match where they won the title. Competing on the July 20th episode of Collision, The Patriarchy [Christian Cage, Killswitch and Nick Wayne] defeated the new version of The Bang Bang Gang [The Gunns and Juice Robinson], to capture the vacant titles. However, in an update by F4WOnline, it is noted that Killswitch suffered a partially torn bicep in the match. In more positive news, the Trios Champion is expected to work through the injury and not miss a significant amount of time.
Multiple AEW Stars Injured At Collision Taping
The injury was the third to take place on the show as earlier in the night a match between Skye Blue and Hikaru Shida was stopped by the referee. It was later confirmed that Blue had suffered a broken ankle in the match and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future. Additionally, Dalton Castle was knocked out in his match against Roderick Strong on the show and is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the year.
While it was originally a suspected concussion that was the injury to Castle, the update from F4WOnline notes that Castle will be out of action for a different injury that will require surgery and not the concussion. The specifics of the injury are not known at this time.
