Bad Bunny could be part of a huge match if he returns to a WWE ring in the near future.
Impressing many fans with his debut performance at WrestleMania 37, the Grammy Award-winning musician returned to the ring for the 2022 Royal Rumble and at Backlash 2023, which saw the rapper compete in his native Puerto Rico against Damian Priest in a street fight.
With Bunny being one of the biggest music stars in the world and popular with the fans, many are hoping to see the former Coachella headliner make his return to the ring sooner rather than later. According to a new report, Bunny could be inserted into the biggest storyline in the promotion.
At WrestleMania 41, John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes to win his 17th World Championship. The closing moments of the match saw Travis Scott interfere, allowing Cena to capitalise and defeat Rhodes following a low blow and a title shot to the head.
Following the match, it was reported that John Cena and Travis Scott may form a tag team in WWE. As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it has been pitched that Bad Bunny would be an opponent in the tag team match, likely with Rhodes as his partner:
“There have already been reports of Scott & Cena doing a tag team match. The theory was Bad Bunny would be on the other side. Rhodes would make the most sense as the partner but that aspect wasn’t confirmed to us past the idea that if it is done, they’d need a wrestler of the level of Cena on the face side.”
Bad Bunny Recalls Most Painful WWE Moment
As previously noted, the music megastar faced off against Damian Priest in a Street Fight at Backlash in Puerto Rico. With Priest not taking it easy on Bunny in the match, many praised the rapper for being on the receiving end of big bumps and weapon shots. In a previous interview, Bad Bunny revealed which moment from the match hurt the most.
