Creative Pitch Made For WWE Star’s Return

WWE Raw set

Matt Riddle has been absent from WWE television since December 5th, but fans might not have to wait too much longer to see him on-screen again.

On Raw, Riddle was attacked and taken out of action by Solo Sikoa. However, it was reported in the days after the incident that he had been suspended by WWE for failing a second drugs test. While there has been no confirmation from the star or WWE over the rumoured failed tests or a suspension, a former girlfriend claimed that the star had been to rehab.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that if Riddle had indeed been suspended, that suspension would now be over.

This has been followed by a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider (Via PWInsider Elite) that claims a pitch has been made for Riddle’s return. The report adds that while the star isn’t present for WrestleMania at the moment, he could be flown in for later in the weekend or Raw on April 3rd. Johnson notes that Riddle is expected to return as part of the red brand.

Randy Orton Heading For WWE Return

The update on Matt Riddle comes after it was reported that his tag team partner Randy Orton will be at WrestleMania 39. Orton has been out of action since May 2022, when he took time off to deal with a long-standing back injury.

The Viper underwent surgery later that year amid very real fears that his career could be over.

However, it has been revealed that not only will Orton be in attendance at WrestleMania, but he would also prefer to return on the show rather than on Raw the following night.
